Vinnie Thawani

Hi, I’m Vinnie Thawani
‍
Before Confetti, I was a research scientist with a background in biotechnology. Not exactly the usual route into a design studio, I know.
‍
I joined in August 2023 in a consulting role in the founder’s office. We were a team of five to seven people back then and, honestly, things were pretty unorganised. I started in sales and business development, and very quickly found myself doing a bit of everything else too be it HR, accounts, finance, operations, project management. Whatever needed sorting, I sorted.
‍
In early 2025, I became COO and a partner in the firm. And within about a year, we grew to a team of more than 40. A lot of my work in that phase was building our CRM,  internal systems, and training our project managers and senior client-facing team. I took over the client side completely, from the first conversation to the final handover, along with financial planning, upselling and making sure our client relationships last. We’ve now had two profitable years back to back, and I’m really proud of that.
‍
People often ask how Rishabh and I divide things. It’s pretty simple. He leads design and the founder side of Confetti. I look after operations, clients, finance, HR, legal and our outsourced partners. We can cover for each other when we need to, but we don’t step on each other’s toes, and I think that’s a big part of why it works.
‍
Today, Confetti runs on structured pods, clear hierarchies and a founder’s office that I oversee. There’s still a lot to build, and I’m excited about all of it.
