Kimi is a Dubai-based cafe shaped by contemporary cafe culture and fast-moving city routines.With a bold visual identity and a focus on everyday coffee rituals, the brand positions itself as accessible, modern and easy to return to.
At its core, Kimi is about frequency be it morning coffees, afternoon breaks, repeat visits. The brand’s growth depends not just on first-time customers, but on building habits. That behavioral layer became central to how its digital experience needed to evolve.


As Kimi expanded, the app needed to move beyond simple ordering andstart building stronger customer retention. To support long-term growth, the experience had to evolveto actively encourage repeat engagement and loyalty.
Offers and discounts were not seamlessly integrated into the ordering flow, reducing their impact.
No prepaid or wallet model existed to encourage advance spending and repeat coffee purchases.
Lack of a structured tier-based rewards system led to no continued usage and brand loyalty.


We built a behaviour-driven mobile app designed to combine speed with incentives.
Clear onboarding that introduces loyalty tiers and prepaid options upfront.
Integrated Kimi Card system allowing bulk coffee purchases at discounted rates.
Menu architecture built for fast selection and customisation.


The loyalty model was built to motivate repeat behaviour through visible progression and tangible benefits.



Confetti Design Studios’ sister concern Suplex collaborated with Kimi, a premium cafe brand in Dubai, to design and develop a seamless mobile app experience. The app enhances user convenience, enabling quick orders, personalized recommendations, and a rewards program to foster customer loyalty in a competitive market.
To ensure the app resonated with diverse customer needs, Confetti Design Studios developed three key user personas: the Introverted Coffee Lover seeking cozy solo experiences, the Hybrid Worker balancing productivity and relaxation, and the Coffee Connoisseur passionate about premium brews. These personas guided a tailored and intuitive design approach.
