Dubai branding projects can range anywhere from a few thousand dirhams to well over AED 50,000, and the number doesn’t tell what you'd actually get for it.

This post is a breakdown of what branding currently costs in Dubai and the broader UAE region and how to choose the right branding budget as per your needs.

Dubai Branding Costs by Agency Tier

Branding costs in Dubai vary widely because the term “branding” is often used in place of a logo and basic guidelines to a strategy-led identity system with multiple applications and markets.

In Dubai logo-only work around AED 500 to AED 10,000, core identity projects around AED 10,000 to AED 25,000, full identity systems around AED 25,000 to AED 60,000, and larger multi-market engagements from AED 60,000 upward.

Provider / scope Indicative Dubai range What you are typically buying
Budget freelancer or marketplace AED 200–1,500 Logo or basic visual asset, limited strategy and applications
Experienced freelancer AED 1,500–5,000+ Custom logo, concepts, revisions and production files
Boutique studio AED 5,000–20,000 Logo plus core identity elements and basic guidelines
Full identity project AED 25,000–60,000 Strategy, complete identity system, guidelines and broader applications
Enterprise / multi-market AED 60,000–150,000+ Strategy, architecture, bilingual systems and extensive rollout

Here’s what you get at each level

Budget freelancer or marketplace: AED 200–1,500

This is generally an execution-focused purchase. You may receive a logo, a few revisions and standard exports.

Technically this cannot be called branding and is suitable for a temporary venture or an early-stage business that needs a basic mark.

Make sure you check source files, ownership and logo variations before accepting the quote.

Experienced freelancer: AED 1,500–5,000+

You are paying for more individual design involvement.  The scope of this kind of project may include custom concepts, refinement rounds, vector artwork and basic colour guidance.

Brand strategy and broader identity applications are often limited unless specifically included.

Boutique studio: AED 5,000–20,000

The scope can move from a logo into a usable brand identity system, with typography, colour, logo variations, guidelines and selected applications.

Some studios offering branding services also include discovery or brand positioning work.

Full identity and strategy: AED 25,000–60,000

This is the most comprehensive scope. Here research, positioning, identity architecture, brand guidelines and multiple customer-facing applications can become part of the engagement.

The final price depends heavily on what those applications include.

Enterprise or multi-market: AED 60,000+

Larger projects may involve naming, brand architecture, bilingual Arabic-English systems, multiple business units, packaging, digital products, rollout and governance.

At this level, project management and implementation scope become major cost drivers.

When comparing Dubai branding quotes, compare the deliverables and process before comparing the numbers. A AED 15,000 identity and a AED 50,000 brand system may both be correctly priced because they are meeting different ends.

What Separates a Boutique Branding Project From a Full Service Agency Like Confetti

The difference between a boutique studio charging AED 15,000 and a larger agency charging AED 50,000 or more is usually scope, complexity and process, not simply a higher price for the same logo.

Research depth

A premium engagement spends meaningful time understanding your category, competitors, customers, positioning, and business constraints before design begins.

For a packaging project, that can include reviewing the competitive shelf, understanding SKU requirements, and considering production realities such as pack formats, print processes, and mandatory label information. A boutique studio may do this at a lighter weight. A full service agency will document it as a formal deliverable.

Scope completeness

A basic identity package includes a logo, colour palette, and typography. A comprehensive system includes brand strategy, verbal identity, visual identity, packaging applications, guidelines, and implementation support.

The scope defines the fee more than the seniority of the person doing the work.

Bilingual identity requirements

For UAE brands, Arabic and English can add real design complexity. The two scripts have different visual proportions, reading directions and typographic characteristics.

A properly scoped bilingual identity considers both versions during development rather than designing the English identity first and adapting Arabic later. This can affect logo construction, typography, layouts, packaging and brand guidelines.

Deliverables beyond the identity

Compare what happens after the logo is approved. Does the proposal include complete guidelines, packaging applications, website design, social templates, launch assets or implementation support?

A lower fee can appear attractive simply because these deliverables are excluded.

Senior talent and judgment

A senior agency that has shipped identities across your industry prices judgment, not hours. The value is in knowing which category conventions to keep, which to break, and what will happen to the design when it meets a packaging printer or a retail buyer.

That kind of judgment is learned across projects and can't be replicated by someone working from a template.

✨Example:

A D2C wellness brand planning supplement and skincare lines receives two proposals.

The AED 12,000 boutique proposal includes a positioning workshop, core identity, basic guidelines and two revision rounds.

The AED 45,000 proposal adds category research, brand architecture for the two product lines, packaging applications, fuller guidelines and structured approval rounds for the founder and investors.

The second proposal costs 3X as much, but it is solving a larger problem. For a single-product launch, the boutique scope may be sufficient. For this two-line brand preparing for retail, the additional work addresses requirements the cheaper proposal leaves outside its scope.

When comparing Dubai branding proposals, ask which decisions, risks, deliverables and stakeholders are included in the fee. That tells you more than the agency's size or the headline price.

Is a Bigger Branding Budget Always the Right Call in Dubai?

No. In Dubai, the right branding budget depends on what you are launching, where you will sell it, and how much complexity the identity has to support.

When a larger budget makes sense

A larger engagement is recommended when your Dubai launch involves:

  • Launching across UAE retail and ecommerce: You may need packaging, retail applications, marketplace assets, Arabic-English adaptations and a system that works at shelf and thumbnail size.
  • Building multiple SKUs: A master identity and packaging system can be more useful than designing each product separately.
  • Entering the UAE from another market: Existing brand assets may need adaptation for Arabic, local packaging requirements, regional customer expectations and new retail channels.
  • Repositioning for a higher price tier: If the business is moving from mainstream to premium, strategy and identity may need to change together.
  • Managing multiple decision-makers: A project involving founders, investors, regional teams or retail partners needs a clearer approval process than a founder-led project.

The extra budget should pay for specific additional work: research, strategy, bilingual development, brand architecture, packaging applications, documentation or implementation support.

When a smaller project is more practical

A full Dubai branding engagement may be unnecessary when:

  • You are testing a new product before committing to the market.
  • You have one product, one market and a single decision-maker.
  • Your positioning is already clear and only the visual identity needs updating.
  • You already have a strong identity and need campaign or social media production rather than rebranding.

In these cases, define the minimum identity system you actually need and invest in applications later.

Dubai branding budget tiers

Budget Typical scope Usually makes sense when
AED 2,000–10,000 Logo, basic variations, production files You need a credible mark for an early-stage or focused launch
AED 10,000–25,000 Logo, colour, typography, basic guidelines and selected applications You need consistency across your main channels
AED 25,000–60,000 Strategy, full identity system, guidelines and broader applications You are scaling, repositioning or building a more complete brand
AED 60,000+ Brand architecture, research, bilingual systems, multiple markets and rollout You have significant organisational or regional complexity

Calculate the cost against the rollout

Do not compare branding fees without checking what happens after the identity is approved. Packaging production, website development, photography, signage, printing and content templates may all sit outside the branding fee.

📌Map the next 12–24 months of planned growth before choosing a branding tier.

One product and one channel? Keep the scope focused.

Multiple SKUs or channels? Build a system.

New market or new positioning? Include strategy.

Regional expansion? Budget for adaptation and governance.

The right branding budget is the one that covers the business you are actually building, not the agency tier that sounds most impressive.

📌For most Dubai businesses, the AED 15,000 to AED 40,000 range is where the trade-off between scope and usability is best balanced. It buys strategy, a complete identity system, bilingual capability if needed, and a handover package the internal team can actually apply.

What to Ask Before Comparing Two Branding Quotes

Two Dubai branding quotes can differ by AED 20,000 or more without either provider mispricing the project. Before comparing the numbers, compare what each proposal actually covers.

Question to ask What to check
What exactly is included? Logo, identity, strategy, guidelines, applications and rollout support
What happens before design? Workshops, competitor research, customer research and positioning
How many concepts and revisions? Initial directions, refinement rounds and scope boundaries
Is Arabic included? Arabic-English identity development, typography and applications
Who will do the work? Senior strategist, creative director, designer or delivery team
What happens at handover? Source files, production formats, guidelines and asset library
Who owns the final work? Written terms covering rights, source files and permitted uses
Can the identity scale? New SKUs, sub-brands, channels and UAE or GCC adaptations

☑️Check the scope behind the headline price

A AED 20,000 quote may cover a logo, colour palette and basic guidelines. A AED 45,000 proposal may include positioning, competitor research, bilingual identity development, packaging applications and a comprehensive guideline system.

Neither price tells you which is better suited to the business, the deliverables do.

☑️Ask what “strategy” actually means

If strategy is included, ask what research or decisions are part of it and how those findings affect the creative direction. A questionnaire alone is not equivalent to a structured positioning process.

☑️Confirm Arabic capability

For a UAE brand serving Arabic and English audiences, ask to see previous bilingual identity work. Arabic adaptation can involve typography, hierarchy, proportion and logo construction, not simply translated copy.

☑️Clarify ownership

UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 governs copyright and neighbouring rights. Its provisions address economic rights and contractual arrangements, so your agreement should clearly state what rights are being transferred or licensed and the scope of that transfer.

Also confirm whether editable source files are included.

☑️Compare the project after handover

Ask whether the agency supports packaging production, new SKU adaptations, digital applications or future market expansion, and whether those services are included or billed separately.

Put both proposals against the same deliverable list before comparing the prices. A cheaper quote may simply exclude work that the other proposal has already accounted for.

How Confetti Approaches Branding Project Scope and Pricing

We scope every branding project around the business's actual complexity rather than starting from a fixed package.

A single-market launch with straightforward positioning gets a different scope of work than a business planning to expand across product lines or markets, and the two shouldn't cost the same or follow the same process.

Our approach integrates brand strategy and identity design as one connected process, which is where a lot of the differentiators discussed above: architecture complexity, verbal identity, stakeholder alignment,  actually get resolved rather than left as gaps between separately-scoped pieces of work.

We've built brand identities for businesses at different stages and levels of complexity, reflected in our work across multiple markets including India, the UK, Dubai, Australia, and the US, and in having built more than 100 brands globally as stated on our site.

That range means a scoping conversation with us starts from understanding what your business actually needs, not from quoting a package before knowing the complexity involved.

If you're trying to work out which tier of investment actually fits your situation, that's a conversation worth having before committing to any proposal.

FAQs

How much does branding cost in Dubai?

Full branding projects in Dubai typically range from AED 15,000–40,000 at boutique studios to AED 100,000+ at global agencies, depending on strategic depth, brand architecture complexity, and what's included beyond the core visual identity.

What's included in a typical branding project cost?

Scope varies, but a complete branding project usually includes strategy and positioning work, visual identity design, and brand guidelines documentation. Naming, launch collateral, and website design are sometimes included and sometimes scoped separately, confirm this explicitly when comparing quotes.

Why do branding quotes vary so much for what looks like the same scope?

Two quotes that look similar on paper often assume different things are included, one may exclude naming, brand architecture work, or guidelines documentation that the other includes. Ask each agency exactly what's covered before comparing the numbers directly.

Is a more expensive branding agency always better?

Not necessarily. A higher tier often reflects deeper strategic process and stakeholder management built for more complex situations. A straightforward, single-market launch may not need that overhead, while a business with real complexity may find a lower-tier project leaves gaps that need addressing later.

Does branding cost include the logo, or is that separate?

A logo is typically one deliverable within a full branding project, not a separate cost on top of it. If you only need a logo without the broader strategy and identity system work, that's a narrower and less expensive scope, covered in more detail in a dedicated logo cost breakdown.
